1: Riful eats people sometimes. Sword is a version of Riful that does so less frequently than her canon counterpart, but it's still something that could happen.
If you are up with getting eaten sometime, mod approval permitting, please drop your name in comments below saying you're okay with Option 1. You can also say you're not down for that if you really want to, but if you don't leave a response I will honestly just take it as a "no" anyway so you don't have to.
2: Putting Riful in play means putting a great deal of potentially triggering and/or upsetting issues into play. (A probably-not-fully-comprehensive list of them heads her memory registry; you might want to check that.) Not everyone is going to be okay with dealing with those issues, and I'm fine with that; I don't want to hurt people with my rp period, but I especially don't want to do it because I forgot to check if they were okay with something first.
This is going to be less of an issue right out of the gate because Riful comes in with no context and no memories, but it's going to become an increasingly relevant concern the longer she's in play, so if I could preemptively get a headcount on who at least thinks they might be up for that, I'd appreciate it. It goes without saying that I will still ask if you're all right with it first when the time comes; this is just to know who I can ask.
If you're down with that, then, drop a comment saying you're up for Option 2. As with option 1, I'll take silence as a "no", so if that's not your thing, you don't need to say anything at all.

3: Cardinal as a team have also collectively gained the ability to inflict a temporary fear-paralysis effect on their opponents by screeching. Think like the similarly-named Pokemon move or some mix between a hawk and an owl.
Suffering the full effect of this boon is on an opt-in basis so I'd appreciate knowing who's ok with it and who's not. If you are all right having your character encounter this please say you're fine with Option 3.
Not saying anything's gonna be taken as a "no" unless we've talked about this beforehand. As always, I'll ask first either way. If it comes up & you don't feel comfy dealing with the full effect, there are enough handwave options: strong-willed characters can ofc resist this or successfully fight off the effect, for example.
4: If you are okay with your character being killed, please comment saying you're okay with Option 4.
5: If you are okay with your character being maimed, please comment saying you're okay with Option 5.
6: If you are okay with your character being tortured, please comment saying you're okay with Option 6.
Thanks to far too many IC events that have led to this we've long passed the point where I should have put these three options up for opting into or noping out of and now I'm rectifying that. Not commenting that you're okay with any of them counts as a collective "no". I will of course ask first if it becomes necessary to ask.

As previous opt-ins will indicate there are some topics and situations that choosing to interact with a character like Riful make it very difficult to avoid bringing up IC. My previous opt-ins have covered them in general. That's not enough, and leaving it at an opt-in seems inadequate to cover more specific concerns. So the request is this:
If you have already opted in on the general requests but would rather avoid certain specific things included in those requests that might come up despite that, please tell me what those are when you opt in.
In a game like this that deals with heavily compromised ideals and regular interpersonal acts of violence it could be very easy to step on each others' comfort levels and concerns about agency and flexibility, both on an IC and OOC level, but I don't want to do that to anyone or see it done to me, accidentally or otherwise. I want to be comfortable asking that respect from you as you should be asking it from me. It can be on plurk at @neardark or in PM on this account if you're not comfortable mentioning it in public, I'm not picky.
There have been problems with this in the past prior to adding this addendum to the post. For accountability's sake I'm not going to pretend those haven't happened. I'm sorry for not having been responsible enough in maintaining these OOC lines of communication and being attentive to these potential problems that people were put into that position. That is my fault and I own it.
If you would like something and if you wouldn't like something from me please ask me for it in whatever way you feel most comfortable doing, I promise I will listen. But I do not want you to say you're all right with something if you're not. None of us will have any fun that way.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE, in regards to Anise-- in the case she's on Canary, I will say you're free to ask for any of them, however for options 1 and 6 I'll warn ahead of time I am very likely to refuse. Option 1 might be awkward for teamness if she actually like deathvores him but if it's smaller nibbles it is probably ok. Though he may just try to beat her up if she tries. but not in a vindictive way!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

#1 would be okay with me so long as it's consensual on Noir's end (I...I can see that happening), but it'll be worth keeping the state of team in there if it ever does happen since 'willingly let another teammate eat me' could cause potential awkwardness......
EDIT: I AM PRETTY OKAY WITH ALL 6, with my only issue being well...Team. So I think so long as you poke me with "Lace might violence Noir a bit" we can try and work either around it or through it, depending on what's best for the long term.

also as a note i am okay with all these options but for #5 and 6 i'll need a heads up as to what the general idea of what will happen re: torturemaiming so my teammates can know the damage/protest if it squicks them out too badly. also #1 & 4 heads up would also be appreciated, again, so i can tell my team about it

1) I'm fine with this! I've already let some voring happen before, and I have played in games like Dangerbear/Dangerdragon so I can do this. o7
2) I am also cool with this. :|b I AM NOT SURE IF/HOW OFTEN IT MAY COME UP WITH MY CHARACTERS but if it does I'm cool with all of the topics listed, you may just get some crazy in response or magical girls magical girling.
3) As for 3, I don't mind if it happens, but I would also prefer case-by-case? Since having a blanket YES or NO is no fun imo. SO ESSENTIALLY talk to me and we can work out whatever might be the most fun scenario for both of us. '^'b
4) I'm totally okay with this! So no worries here, death is always fine.
5) MAIMING IS OKAY, though I prefer to avoid things like limb removal, etc. But I can totally roll with broken bones, slashes, bites, etc. OR SOMETHING ELSE IF I THINK OF IT, as long as it doesn't end up falling under torture. Like—for example, I'm not okay with things like glasgow smiles and stuff. I have some problems coming up with things on the spot but if I think of other things I'd like to avoid I'll be sure to edit this comment for you, or if we're talking about something going down or whatever. \o/;;
OH ALSO IN THE CASE OF TAVROS, I would prefer if his legs weren't broken because they are very much robotic so he is SOL with broken legs due to ... not having legs at all if his robotic ones are broken ...
6) TORTURE IS NOT OKAY :x it's one of my biggest no things, I'm sorry. I'd super love to avoid torture be... cause it squicks me pretty badly.
I THINK WE TALKED ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS re: character agency in that situation as well but for the sake of having it out there, I would really like for my characters to have a sense of agency whenever possible, though I can totally be okay with a lack of agency too? My characters have pretty volatile moods for what they can take and a lack of agency is especially a concern for the playability of Ellen at this point in time.
I'm pretty flexible, honestly, so please just talk to me for the finer details on things for when/if they happen and I would be glad to work with you so we can find stuff that can be fun for both of us. '^'b

The only thing is once she starts regaining her Magic Null skill, it'll start lessening the effect of that screech until she starts no-selling it but. Nonmagical support character human, you can figure something out.

As for Violet, I am generally cool but just let me know (plurk/pm/whatever) if she's approaching the ~danger zone~ so we can work things out since there's a few more variables in play wrt ic/ooc situation and whatever current level of guilt on doing bad things to little girls :')

Basically I'm cool with playing out most things as long as there's communication, and I never mind being terrible to my characters.
For 6, I think I mentioned on plurk, but Rabbit's got a deco-power to reflect wounds so that one's probably not possible unless Lace is really creative or suddenly decides she likes pain I guess :|a
For 1 for Makina, she's sorta undead so idk if Lace can/would want to eat that or not... probably won't come up anyway since afaik celeste and cardinal are frands, tho.

#4 I'm also generally cool with as long as you warn me first and are okay with the repercussions it would have with Teal, though just be aware that in a situation like that Caramel will do whatever he can to stay alive, whether by fighting back or fleeing for his life, and he does have a shield to help with that second one because Teal power.
The rest I'm going to tentatively put a blanket "talk to me first" on, because there are a lot of variables in a given circumstance that can affect things.

6 I would probably want to discuss first, as Steel has already been tortured in Deco before and it nearly broke him, so it will depend on what's going to happen and his current mental state. And actually yes, no torture that involves cutting his chest/abdomen open (while he's alive), as that has already been a thing.

1) Absolute no for Kise, possible for Ling depending on the situation, but leaning toward no. If the IC situation calls for it, I might be fine with it but it depends on a lot of factors!
2) I AM NOT SURE WHAT THIS IS ASKING SORRY. Is it memory sharing? If so it's a yes for both
3) yes for ling, case by case basis for Kise, since for him I'm more in need of possible escape scenarios since he's way more of a delicate flower
4) case by case basis for both, with kise being a little more unlikely. To clarify I am fine with death and them being killed, but I don't want to throw myself into unplayability (for Kise, Ling's very chill about death), so I will need to gauge the IC situations and the possible development coming from there, etc. Basically I need to see long-term planning and whether that'd fuck kise up real badly or not. BASICALLY if you propose a Thing I can see what's going on and see if Thing is doable or if it'd fuck things up too bad
5) yes with ling, possible for kise but like above it's a thing i need to gauge really well before heading to headfist. Also it really strongly depends on what's getting maimed 'cause though i have a strong stomach there are things I might really not be able to play (but ling lost his eyes like everywhere ever so clearly that is a thing to do)
6) Ling's a possibility but it depends on his IC standing at the moment it's happening, I've played torture with him before so it's not a problem, but again I need to see if it won't throw me into unplayability territory. Kise's an almost certain no but depending on what's on the table I can be a little more flexible. Definitely not in the near future though as he would not be able to sustain it (still a team bb)
I'm not mentioning anything specifically aside from "well it depends on what's going on" because quite frankly my squicks aren't many (i know previously things like glasgow smiles and tongue cutting have been brought up in plurks, those are two things that squick me out to have my character be the victim of, but I can't really come up with a lot right now), pretty much all my issues are always related to playability and IC situations. In general I have zero problems saying "This is something I want to avoid, let's try to find another solution instead" so really I think with open communication there's never going to be a problem. I tried to be as thoroughout as possible in this post tho so hopefully!! It will be helpful!!
